Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Warner Robins Demons (Warner Robins, GA), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hurricanes now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 15. Rutland will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Howard (Macon, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Warner Robins falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Demons host Union Grove (McDonough, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 15. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Union Grove won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Dutchtown (Hampton, GA)
