In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Blue Devils battle the Bradwell Institute Tigers (Hinesville, GA) in a 5A Area 1 contest, on Saturday, September 17. Statesboro will attempt to better on its 13-5 season record.

With the loss, Toombs County drops to 14-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Appling County (Baxley, GA) to battle the Pirates in a 2A Area 3 contest on Tuesday, September 20. The Pirates come into the contest with a record of 7-1.
