The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Nowata Ironmen (Nowata, OK) and the host Hulbert Riders (Hulbert, OK), observed Nowata's football squad defeat Hulbert by a count of 48-28.

The Ironmen now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Caney Valley for a 2A District 8 contest on Friday, September 22. Nowata will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 52-15 non-league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, OK). The Trojans record now stands at 0-4.

Coming up next, the Riders encounter the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, OK) in a A District 7 contest, on Friday, September 22. Hulbert will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
