The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS) and the visiting Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS), observed Murrah's football squad edge Jefferson County by a count of 20-14.

The Mustangs now own a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgeland for a non-league contest on Friday, September 22. Murrah will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 45-7 non-league loss to Pearl (Pearl, MS). The Titans record now stands at 1-3.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Natchez Bulldogs (Natchez, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 22. Jefferson County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
