Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team overwhelm the host Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions (Allentown, PA), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians confront the Jersey Shore Bulldogs (Jersey Shore, PA) in a PIAA District IV-AAA challenge, on Monday, September 18. Shamokin Area will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Montoursville (Montoursville, PA).

The Lions now possess a 0-1 record.
