The Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) football defeated the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 20-6 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 21. Sun Valley will attempt to advance on its 5-0 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC).
