In Thursday's league contest, the Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN) volleyball squad nudged the host Northeastern Knights (Fountain City, IN), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 18. Union County will attempt to better on its 11-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 league win over Connersville (Connersville, IN).

The Knights now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hagerstown for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 16. Northeastern will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 10-0.
