Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 16. Niles North will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 5-1 league win over Mather (Chicago, IL).

The Cougars now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Highland Park for a Central Suburban - North challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Vernon Hills will confront a Giants team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Niles West (Skokie, IL). The Giants record now stands at 2-5.
