The Welch Wildcats triumphed over the host Nowata Ironmen softball team by a tally of 20-6 in Thursday's non-league outing.
Coming up next, the Wildcats battle the Afton Eagles (Afton, OK) in a Class A outing, on Monday, September 18. Welch will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 11-9 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Commerce (Commerce, OK).
The Ironmen (3-15) will now prepare for their outing against Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK). The Cougars enter the non-league outing with a 6-20 record. In their last outing, Oklahoma Union was routed by Hominy (Hominy, OK), 15-0, in a non-league outing.
