The Spartans go into the contest with a 13-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA).

With the loss, Downingtown West moves to 2-4 on the year. The Whippets travel to Methacton (Norristown, PA) to face the Warriors in a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. The Warriors go into the contest with a record of 4-1. Methacton lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA)
