In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the South Plaquemines Hurricanes.
The Swamp Owls (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Avondale, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy lost by McGehee (New Orleans, LA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Hurricanes (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Fisher (Lafitte, LA). The Gators enter the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Fisher gained a win over L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
