The Lewis County Lions topped the visiting Rowan County Vikings volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Lions now have a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portsmouth for a non-league test on Monday, September 18. Lewis County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 league win over Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 4-4.
The Vikings (6-11) will now prepare for their test against West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Comets enter the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, West Carter was knocked off by East Carter (Grayson, KY), 3-1, in a league test.
