With the win, Wadena-Deer Creek upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Wolverines host Bertha-Hewitt (Bertha, MN) to play the Bears in a Park Region bout on Thursday, September 21. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

The Braves now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Warroad for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Menahga will play a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Kittson Central/Lancaster (Hallock, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.
