Summertown Eagles (Summertown, TN) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN), 39-27 in a league battle.

With the win, Summertown advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Eagles host Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region 5 battle on Friday, September 20. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 4-0. Mt. Pleasant won 15-7 in their recent league battle against Harpeth (Kingston Springs, TN)

The Mustangs now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lewis County for a 2A Region 5 battle on Friday, September 20. Loretto will play a Panthers team coming off a 32-0 league win over Hickman County (Centerville, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
