Lynbrook Owls (Lynbrook, NY) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting South Side Cyclones (Rockville Centre, NY), 35-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Lynbrook improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Owls host Mineola (New Hyde Park, NY) to play the Mustangs in a Section 8 Conference III battle on Saturday, September 21. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Mineola lost 34-8 in their recent league battle against Clarke (Westbury, NY)

The Cyclones now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Elmont Memorial for a Section 8 Conference III battle on Friday, September 20. South Side will play a Spartans team coming off a 20-6 league win over Hewlett (Hewlett, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.
