In their next game, the Cougars face the Rocky Mountain Lobos (Fort Collins, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 21. Cherokee Trail will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Lobos enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 34-20 non-league win over Broomfield (Broomfield, CO).

The Golden Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Overland (Aurora, CO). The Trailblazers enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record.
