Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Athens nudges Haverling

In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Athens Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Haverling Rams.

The Wildcats (5-0) will now prepare for their outing against Wyalusing Valley (Wyalusing, PA). The Rams go into the PIAA District IV-A outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Wyalusing Valley was edged by Troy (Troy, PA), 4-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Rams play the Hornell Red Raiders (Hornell, NY) in a Livingston - Division I outing, on Monday, September 16. Haverling will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Red Raiders go into the outing with a 3-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Dansville (Dansville, NY).
