Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) and the host Maplewood Tigers (Guys Mills, PA), saw Hickory's soccer squad triumph over Maplewood by a count of 8-0.

The Hornets (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Rockets enter the District 10 Region 2 battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Slippery Rock ran past Titusville (Titusville, PA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Iroquois Braves (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Maplewood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Braves enter the battle with a 1-3 record after their 7-1 league loss to Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA).
