Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) and the visiting Mifflinburg Wildcats (Mifflinburg, PA), saw Warrior Run's soccer squad triumph over Mifflinburg by a count of 8-0.

The Defenders (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bloomsburg (Bloomsburg, PA). The Panthers enter the Heartland II battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Bloomsburg ran past Millville (Millville, PA), 4-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Shikellamy Braves (Sunbury, PA) in a PIAA District IV-AAA battle, on Monday, September 16. Mifflinburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Braves enter the battle with a 6-0 record after their 10-0 league win over Shamokin Area (Coal Township, PA).
