In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Abingdon Falcons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the George Wythe Maroons.
The Falcons (9-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Lord Botetourt beat Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Maroons play the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. George Wythe will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA).
