With the win, Monroe Area improves its record to 2-8 on the season. The Purple Hurricanes host Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA) to encounter the Indians in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 14. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 10-5. Lumpkin County won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Johnson (Gainesville, GA)

The Wildcats now own a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy for a battle on Tuesday, September 17.
