Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL) and the visiting Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL), saw Waukegan's soccer squad hold off Palatine by a count of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Blue Devils enter the North Suburban - Lake battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Warren Township tipped Fenton (Bensenville, IL), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Pirates confront the Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL) in a Mid-Suburban - East battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Palatine will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 8-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL).
