Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Phoenixville Phantoms (Phoenixville, PA) and the host Penncrest Lions (Media, PA), saw Phoenixville's soccer squad knock off Penncrest by a count of 2-0.

The Phantoms (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA). The Indians enter the Pioneer battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Upper Perkiomen by Kutztown (Kutztown, PA), 4-3, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Lions battle the Conestoga Pioneers (Berwyn, PA) in a Central battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Penncrest will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA).
