Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA) and the host Stroudsburg Mountaineers (Stroudsburg, PA), saw Pocono Mountain East's soccer squad hold off Stroudsburg by a count of 2-1.

The Cardinals (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pen Argyl (Pen Argyl, PA). The Green Knights enter the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Pen Argyl was edged by Palisades (Kintnersville, PA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Mountaineers battle the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings (Allentown, PA) in a Eastern Penn battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Stroudsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 2-1 league win over East Stroudsburg South (East Stroudsburg, PA).
