Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Agricultural Science Cyclones (Chicago, IL) and the host Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), observed Agricultural Science's volleyball team hold off Thornton by a tally of 2-1.

The Cyclones (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gary West Side (Gary, IN). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Gary West Side was tipped by Whiting (Whiting, IN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) in a Southland contest, on Saturday, September 14. Thornton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Blazing Trojan enter the contest with a 2-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL).
