In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Mary's Ryken Knights volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins.

The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Smithfield (Smithfield, VA). The Packers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Smithfield was nudged by Poquoson (Poquoson, VA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Dolphins meet the Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Cape Henry Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Christ Chapel Academy (Woodbridge, VA).
