In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cave Spring Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Poquoson Islanders.

The Knights (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Patriots come into the River Ridge challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Patrick Henry lost by Georgetown Visitation Prep (Washington, DC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Islanders play the New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) in a Bay Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Poquoson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
