In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Cherryvale Chargers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Fort Scott Tigers.

The Chargers (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Louisburg (Louisburg, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Louisburg edged Ottawa (Ottawa, KS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers (Pittsburg, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Fort Scott will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, KS).
