In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pittsburg Dragons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Cherryvale Chargers.

The Dragons (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Girard (Girard, KS). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Girard edged St. Mary's-Colgan (Pittsburg, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Chargers meet the Louisburg Wildcats (Louisburg, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Cherryvale will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Ottawa (Ottawa, KS).
