In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Columbia Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pinckneyville Panthers.

The Eagles (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Shells come into the Cahokia (Mississippi Division) challenge with a 6-4 record.

Next, the Panthers play the Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Pinckneyville will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Redbirds come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, IL).
