In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Davis Pirates volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Ferris Saxons.

The Pirates (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Moses Lake (Moses Lake, WA). The Mavericks enter the 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Moses Lake was tipped by Lakeland (Rathdrum, ID), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Saxons meet the Ellensburg Bulldogs (Ellensburg, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. Ferris will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 league win over East Valley (Yakima, WA).
