In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the El Paso-Gridley Titans.

The Sabers (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Olympia edged MacArthur (Decatur, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Titans meet the Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 14. El Paso-Gridley will attempt to upgrade on its 15-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Midwest Central (Manito, IL).
