In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Meridian Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Hylton Bulldogs.

The Mustangs (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Titans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Alexandria City edged Woodson (Fairfax, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Unity Reed Lions (Manassas, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Hylton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Centreville (Clifton, VA).
