In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host West Monroe Rebels volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Leesville Wampus Cats.
The Rebels (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Pineville (Pineville, LA). The Rebels come into the Division I District 2 challenge with a 0-1 record.
Next, the Wampus Cats play the DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Leesville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Vinton (Vinton, LA).
