Texas High School Football - Weslaco East tipped by Edinburg

The Weslaco East Wildcats football team (Weslaco, TX), was tipped 21-17 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX)

The Bobcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against San Benito (San Benito, TX). The Greyhounds come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, San Benito nipped Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX), 53-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Harlingen South for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 challenge on Friday, September 23. Weslaco East will meet a Hawks team coming off a 36-7 league win over Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 2-2.
