In Thursday's non-league game, the Nowata Ironmen (Nowata, OK) football team knocked off the visiting Hulbert Riders (Hulbert, OK), by a score of 42-19.

The Ironmen (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Caney Valley (Ramona, OK). The Trojans come into the 2A District 8 game with a 1-2 record.

The Riders now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Commerce for a A District 7 game on Friday, September 23. Hulbert will battle a Tigers team coming off a 28-0 non-league win over Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
