In Thursday's league game, the Spencer Greenwave (Columbus, GA) football team knocked off the host Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA), by a final score of 42-12.
The Greenwave (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rutland (Macon, GA). The Hurricanes come into the AA Region 2 challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Rutland achieved victory over Central (Macon, GA), 26-19, in a league challenge.
The Cherokees now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a AA Region 2 challenge on Friday, September 23. Kendrick will meet a Chargers team coming off a 26-19 league loss to Rutland (Macon, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 0-4.
