In Thursday's non-league game, the Mount Vernon Majors (Alexandria, VA) football team were victorious over the visiting Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA), by a score of 21-0.
The Majors (1-2) will now prepare for their game against West Potomac (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines come into the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, West Potomac knocked off Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA), 42-6, in a non-league game.
The Lancers now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Woodson for a non-league game on Thursday, September 22. Lewis will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 26-7 non-league win over Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-0.
