Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Cascade Bruins (Everett, WA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Meadowdale Mavericks (Lynnwood, WA) in a 2A/3A Wesco challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Stanwood will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.

The Bruins now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountlake Terrace for a 2A/3A Wesco challenge on Monday, September 19. Cascade will confront a Hawks team coming off a 7-0 league win over Marysville Getchell (Marysville, WA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-0.
