In Thursday's non-league battle, the host North Providence Cougars soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the East Providence Townies.
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders come into the Division 2 battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Prout was nudged by Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Townies (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Rams come into the State Championship Division - A battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, La Salle Academy Cranston West (Cranston, RI), 0-0, in a league battle.
