Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting West Union Dragons (West Union, OH), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mohawks confront the Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. Northwest will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.

The Dragons now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Adams for a Southern Hills challenge on Monday, September 19. West Union will confront a Green Devils team coming off a 1-0 league win over Eastern (Sardinia, OH). The Green Devils record now stands at 4-1.
