In Thursday's non-league game, the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) football team knocked off the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a final score of 28-8.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces come into the non-league game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Holmes toppled Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 47-8, in a non-league game.
The Nighthawks now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Camden County for a non-league game on Thursday, September 29.
