In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Athens Red Hawks soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Imlay City Spartans.
The Red Hawks (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Holt (Holt, MI). The Rams come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Holt Everett (Lansing, MI), 1-1, in a league battle.
