The Fairview Tigers held off the visiting Grove City Eagles soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Tigers now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to General McLane for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 20. Fairview will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 7-1.
The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Greenville (Greenville, PA). The Trojans go into the District 10 Region 2 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Greenville nipped Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA), 3-1, in a non-league game.
