Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots face the Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) in a Prince George's County 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Thursday, September 22. Friendly will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD).
