The Independence volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Meridian Mustangs to 0 in the non-league victory on Thursday.
The now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host James Wood for a non-league game on Monday, September 19. Independence will meet a Colonels team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Williamsport (Williamsport, MD). The Colonels record now stands at 6-0.
The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their outing against South Lakes (Reston, VA). The Seahawks go into the non-league outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, South Lakes notched a victory over Osbourn Park (Manassas, VA), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
