The Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) volleyball overcame the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 3-1 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Lakewood upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Cougars host Glacier Peak (Snohomish, WA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 17. The Grizzlies go into the outing with a record of 1-2. Glacier Peak lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Bishop Blanchet (Seattle, WA)

The Mountaineers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Squalicum for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing on Tuesday, September 20. Mt. Baker will play a Storm squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.
