Tennessee High School Football - Anderson County smashes Seymour

The Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) football routed the visiting Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN), 51-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN) in a 4A Region 2 bout, on Friday, September 22. Anderson County will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Green Hornets enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 42-7 non-league loss to Halls (Knoxville, TN).

The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs enter the non-league bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, Cherokee was crushed by Northview Academy (Kodak, TN), 44-20, in a league bout.
