Nebraska High School Football - Anselmo-Merna overwhelms Leyton

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE) and the visiting Leyton Warriors (Dalton, NE), observed Anselmo-Merna's football squad bounce Leyton by a count of 68-12.

The Coyotes now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mullen for a D2 District 9 (8 Man) contest on Friday, September 22. Anselmo-Merna will play a Broncos squad coming off a 44-0 league win over Hyannis (Hyannis, NE). The Broncos record now stands at 4-0.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the South Loup (Arnold, NE) in a D2 District 9 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, September 22. Leyton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The go into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 48-34 league win over Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE).
