Illinois High School Football - Beardstown sneaks past Routt Catholic/Lutheran

September 15, 2023: Beardstown, IL 62618

The Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL) football edged the visiting Routt Catholic/Lutheran (Jacksonville, IL), 46-44 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley - North bout, on Friday, September 22. Beardstown will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 39-12 league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL).

The (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Unity/Seymour (Mendon, IL). The Mustangs enter the Western Illinois Valley - North bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Unity/Seymour was nudged by Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 44-6, in a league bout.
